Role overview
A senior product leader is needed to set the strategic direction for an enterprise data and analytics platform that serves the rental housing industry. The role blends product leadership with deep data fluency, partnering across engineering, data science, design, and executive stakeholders to transform property and IoT telemetry into predictive models, intuitive analytics tools, and actionable business intelligence. The position is remote-friendly across the United States, with a preference for candidates located near a Southwest headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Define and champion the strategic vision, roadmap, and success metrics for an enterprise data platform, reporting suites, and AI/ML initiatives. - Lead customer and market research, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into clear requirements, product requirements documents, and data specifications. - Partner with Revenue, Operations, Finance, IT, and external customers to align the analytics roadmap with broader business goals. - Collaborate closely with Data Science, ML Engineering, Data Engineering, and Design to turn raw telemetry, IoT, and operational data into predictive models and user-facing analytics. - Balance timing, cost, features, and performance to deliver high-impact products on schedule and within budget. - Establish KPIs and dashboards that track adoption and performance while mentoring a team of product managers and embedding secure-by-design practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field, plus at least 7 years of product management experience. - Minimum 3 years leading data products, analytics platforms, data infrastructure, or machine learning solutions, ideally within PropTech, SaaS, or IoT ecosystems. - 2-5 years of people management experience with a track record of building high-performing product teams. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and ML practitioners to ship data-driven features or predictive models, with strong technical comprehension but no hands-on coding required. - Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL, data architecture concepts, and how ML models are trained and deployed to production. - Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Sketch, Amplitude, GitHub, GitLab, or prototyping platforms, plus working knowledge of LLMs, MCP, and generative AI.
Nice to have
- SQL proficiency and ability to evaluate model performance metrics such as precision, recall, and accuracy. - Experience building external-facing analytics dashboards for enterprise SaaS or property operators. - Background in proptech, multifamily housing, consumer IoT, embedded analytics, or algorithmic decision engines. - Familiarity with modern data stack tools like Snowflake, Databricks, or dbt and with API integrations. - Working knowledge of agile and scrum practices.
