Role overview This position leads the business side of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) initiatives, owning functional delivery across implementation, rollout, optimization, and migration projects. The role sits at the intersection of logistics operations, IT, and external partners, translating operational warehouse and intralogistics needs into robust, sustainable SAP solutions.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end functional management of SAP EWM projects from a Logistics and Supply Chain perspective, including new implementations, rollouts, optimization, and migration from SAP WM to SAP EWM. - Define functional objectives, requirements, and success criteria together with the client, ensuring they shape the delivered solution. - Coordinate and lead client-side key users, process owners, and internal EWM experts, building a capable business team around the platform. - Manage external implementation partners, developers, and service providers from a functional standpoint, setting requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria. - Drive functional test management, including test design, UAT, sign-off, cutover planning, go-live preparation, and hypercare support. - Establish business-side project governance covering decision-making, escalation paths, status reporting to logistics leadership, and issue and change management.
Requirements - Several years of experience managing digitalization or SAP projects, ideally with a focus on SAP EWM and/or SAP S/4HANA. - Practical understanding of SAP EWM and related logistics modules (MM, SD, PP, QM, and where applicable TM), without needing deep technical customizing expertise. - Strong track record in requirements management, process design, test management, change management, and stakeholder management. - Experience managing external SAP partners and interdisciplinary teams, with the ability to lead IT and consultants functionally. - Structured, dependable, and solution-oriented working style, combined with assertiveness, diplomacy, and a hands-on mindset. - Very good German and good English skills, written and spoken.
Nice to have - Prior exposure to large-scale warehouse or intralogistics transformation programs. - Familiarity with cross-module integration scenarios in complex SAP landscapes.
