Role overview A property-technology platform serving the rental housing industry is hiring an Advanced Systems Integrator to lead access control and Wi-Fi conversion projects across the United States. The role is field-heavy, involving travel to client sites to service, troubleshoot, and oversee installed systems. It suits someone with low-voltage installation experience who enjoys client-facing work and contractor management.
Responsibilities - Travel to client properties to perform service calls, troubleshooting, and maintenance on integrated access control and networking systems. - Oversee contractors and their crews onsite, ensuring work meets company standards and project requirements. - Manage client relationships by prioritizing needs and maintaining clear communication with property managers and stakeholders. - Coordinate schedules and onsite project tasks with the office team. - Collaborate across sales, field managers, support, product, and engineering to align on plans and deliverables. - Recommend documentation and process improvements and write clear technical procedures and guides.
Requirements - Minimum 2 years of experience installing low-voltage access control systems. - Prior experience troubleshooting access control and networking systems. - Background coordinating projects and managing contractors. - Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to handle face-to-face client meetings and de-escalate difficult situations. - Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple client requests. - Self-starter mindset with strong leadership qualities and attention to detail. - Willingness to travel up to 5 days a week, including overnight stays, and to work nights or weekends as needed.
Nice to have - Familiarity with networking equipment from vendors such as Ubiquiti, Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba, or Cambium. - Technical understanding of smart home devices and their installation. - Relevant low-voltage, electrical, or life-safety system licenses. - Experience designing and installing access control systems.
