Role overview A Senior Platform Engineer role owning the AWS and Kubernetes foundation that the rest of engineering builds on at a clinical AI company helping health systems capture the full value of patient care. The engineer writes the Terraform modules behind the CI/CD pipeline, designs the Helm interface used to ship software to Kubernetes, and partners closely with product engineering and security. The work spans infrastructure, developer experience, observability, secure delivery, and applied AI for engineering workflows.
Responsibilities - Build and evolve the AWS and Kubernetes footprint so it stays simple to use and scales with the business. - Design Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitHub Actions workflows that engineers use to operate the platform, and enhance capabilities with Go or Python applications. - Implement actionable monitors and runbooks that keep the environment smooth and stable. - Build agent skills and augment daily work using generative AI. - Refactor internal code into reusable, versioned shared libraries. - Design and implement strategies for keeping client data segregated while minimizing complexity. - Partner with security and product engineers on a CI/CD pipeline that protects the software supply chain. - Provide runtimes, build pipelines, and deployment patterns for Node.js, React, and Next.js applications. - Stay current on industry tooling and bring forward ideas for continuous improvement.
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - Full-lifecycle development and debugging experience in Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript environments. - Proven experience in web-based software development. - Drive to improve processes and advocate for simpler, faster deployments. - Knowledge of platforms, data movement, API design standards, and operational best practices.
Nice to have - Experience organizing AWS applications in single-tenant configurations. - Prior experience in the healthcare sector.
