Senior Software Engineer, Tech Foundations

Role overview A senior engineering role on an internal developer infrastructure team focused on AI-powered tooling for software engineers. The mission is to remove friction and unlock productivity across the full software development lifecycle by serving as both a platform team and an internal AI consultancy. Expectation is high autonomy, fast iteration on the latest AI advances, and visible influence on how the broader engineering organization builds.

Responsibilities - Shape and drive the AI-for-developers strategy end-to-end, from ideation through shipping, while contributing hands-on code across multiple stacks. - Make pragmatic architectural and technical decisions that balance ambition with real-world constraints and long-term operability. - Track the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and steer the team toward innovations with measurable developer impact. - Act as a champion, coach, and consultant helping partner teams adopt and leverage new AI capabilities in their day-to-day workflows. - Champion engineering excellence through high-quality code, thoughtful design, and reliable systems, including on-call participation for platform components. - Build across a range of problem spaces including agentic coding tools, asynchronous AI workflow platforms, internal AI app SDKs, and AI-assisted code migration.

Requirements - 7+ years of industry experience or equivalent depth of expertise. - Background building developer infrastructure, tooling, or platforms, ideally at scale with widely used tools and frameworks. - Hands-on experience applying AI technologies to real software development challenges. - Track record of ramping quickly in new domains, technologies, or languages, with a genuine appetite for continuous learning. - Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally, with strong written and verbal communication. - Proficiency in one or more of Go, Python, TypeScript, or Kotlin; a degree or equivalent experience.

Benefits and work setup US Remote Eligible with occasional in-person office or offsites. Candidates must reside in a state where the employer has a registered entity. Base pay range is $196,000–$230,000 USD, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and employee travel credits.
