Senior PHP Developer (Inbound) - CZ/PL

Role overview Join a Product Development team as a Senior PHP Developer to build the Inbound domain of a high-volume e-commerce fulfillment platform serving thousands of merchants globally. The engineering hub sits in the Czech Republic or Poland and operates systems that process up to 100,000 orders per day during peak seasons. The work centers on designing distributed, real-time software that connects suppliers, warehouse operators, autonomous robots, iOS picker devices, and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities - Architect and build features for the Inbound domain, which manages every product entering the fulfillment network from supplier to warehouse shelf. - Design and maintain high-concurrency REST-like APIs consumed by web apps, picker hardware, autonomous robots, and conveyor controllers. - Optimize SQL on a terabyte-scale MySQL database as part of the daily routine, including indexing, query plans, and schema evolution. - Take ownership of technical design for mission-critical warehouse logic, including high availability, failover, and autoscaling behavior. - Contribute to a monorepo using GitLab CI with PHPStan, code style checks, PHPUnit, migration validation, and security scans. - Help transition the codebase from a high-growth scale-up architecture toward a mature, domain-driven design.

Requirements - Senior-level PHP experience on modern stacks, comfortable with PHP 8+ and Symfony. - Hands-on work with Doctrine ORM and MySQL at scale, including query optimization on very large datasets. - Strong grasp of distributed systems, concurrency, race conditions, and high-availability service design. - Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments (AWS familiarity is a plus). - Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and code quality tooling. - A business-oriented mindset, able to weigh technical trade-offs against practical outcomes and reliability needs.

Nice to have - Experience integrating with warehouse hardware, robotics, or industrial IoT systems. - Familiarity with Argo CD, GitLab CI, DataDog, Sentry, or Opsgenie. - Background in e-commerce, logistics, fulfillment, or order management platforms. - Comfort writing custom static analysis rules or coding standards.
