A junior software engineering role on an early-career track, fully remote within Spain, focused on shipping production software for healthcare products that connect patients with clinicians and power clinical workflows. Engineers join small, autonomous teams that own real product surfaces end-to-end, with an AI-assisted development workflow treated as the default. Quality and long-term maintainability matter because the systems affect everyday, high-stakes situations for patients and providers.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship features across the stack that solve real user problems - Build reliable, scalable systems used by millions of people each month - Contribute to product areas such as marketplace and search, practice management systems, AI-powered clinical tools, or patient and data integrations - Use AI-assisted coding tools, agents, and spec-driven development as part of the default workflow - Take ownership of problems from initial understanding through to a shipped solution - Collaborate in small autonomous teams with high trust and high ownership
Requirements
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and complexity - Strong problem-solving ability and a builder mindset that turns ideas into working products - Comfort working across the stack to deliver user-facing features - High learning velocity and curiosity about how systems really work - Willingness to experiment with AI coding tools, agents, and new development workflows - Pragmatism about when to optimize versus when to ship
Nice to have
- Academic background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another rigorous technical discipline - Competitive programming experience in events such as ICPC, Google Code Jam, national olympiads, or Codeforces - Side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, startups, or shipped products - Exposure to modern workflows including collaborative development, continuous delivery, observability, and AI-assisted practices
