Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Embed with strategic enterprise customers as a senior engineer who turns raw security telemetry into decisions that executives can act on. The work combines on-site discovery, AI-native solution building, and full-stack integration design across multi-cloud environments. It is a senior individual contributor role for someone who thrives in ambiguous, customer-facing settings and is willing to travel roughly 20-40% of the time.
Responsibilities - Travel to customer sites to map end-to-end security, risk, and compliance workflows and identify where manual work or disconnected tooling is leaking value. - Run discovery with practitioners and executives, then translate findings into scoped technical solutions. - Build AI-native solutions by default, using large language models, agentic frameworks, and machine learning models to automate analysis and reduce manual toil. - Apply data analysis and data science to translate security ratings into financial concepts such as Annualized Loss Expectancy, Value at Risk, and ROI. - Design and ship integrations, pipelines, and tools that connect with customer systems including SIEM, GRC, ticketing, data warehouses, SSO, and webhook endpoints. - Architect solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to match each customer's existing footprint. - Prototype rapidly in the field, then harden prototypes into supportable, production-grade software. - Bridge product, engineering, and customer teams, feeding field patterns back into the product roadmap. - Own the technical relationship on key accounts through renewal and expansion, partnering with Customer Success and Sales Engineering.
Requirements - 8 or more years of software engineering experience, with substantial time in customer-facing, forward deployed, or solutions engineering roles. - Hands-on experience building with AI, including LLMs, agentic frameworks, or machine learning models as core building blocks in shipped products. - Working data analysis and data science ability, including turning raw data into models a customer can act on for risk quantification, benchmarking, or exposure modeling. - Proven track record of independently shipping production code in fast-moving, ambiguous, customer-facing environments. - Strong full-stack fluency across backend services, APIs, scripting, data pipelines, and integration patterns such as REST, webhooks, and SSO or SAML. - Solid architecture experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. - Experience running discovery with enterprise stakeholders from practitioners through executive sponsors. - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical detail and business or financial impact. - Bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity. - Willingness to travel to customer sites roughly 20-40% of the time.
Nice to have - Prior experience in cybersecurity, governance risk and compliance, or enterprise risk management.
Benefits and work setup - Estimated total compensation range of approximately USD 180,000 to USD 240,000, including base plus bonus and potential equity. - Country-specific benefits including health coverage, unlimited paid time off, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and stock options. - Reasonable accommodations available for candidates with disabilities during the hiring process. - No immigration sponsorship offered for this role.
