R&D Team Lead

Role overview Lead engineering work on a Kubernetes-focused resource management platform intended to help DevOps teams improve how they operate cloud-native systems. The role combines significant production coding, technical project ownership, and mentorship, with a focus on complex distributed software and infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities - Build and improve core platform capabilities for managing Kubernetes resources. - Develop production software in Go and work with Kubernetes and container technology internals. - Lead meaningful engineering initiatives, mentor engineers, and guide technical projects through delivery. - Address difficult problems in cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes optimization. - Collaborate with engineers in a fast-moving environment and take responsibility for high-impact work.

Requirements - At least four years of software engineering experience building complex, large-scale systems. - At least two years leading engineering initiatives and mentoring engineers in production settings. - Significant experience developing cloud-based applications. - Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, including containers and Kubernetes. - Experience with Go, backend or distributed systems, infrastructure, or related technologies. - A collaborative approach, strong ownership, and interest in solving technically demanding problems. - A computer science degree or relevant software engineering experience in a technological military unit.

Nice to have - Experience with Istio, Helm, Prometheus, microservices, or container orchestration.
