Role overview The Incentive Compensation & Data Analyst supports North America sales and marketing operations for a major consumer products and tools manufacturer, with a focus on retail and outdoor product lines. The role blends compensation program administration, data analysis, and cross-functional partnership with sales, finance, and HR to manage incentive payouts, accruals, and performance reporting. It is suited to someone who enjoys building accurate, automated processes that translate business strategy into measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities - Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payouts by combining inputs such as HR rosters, ERP results, payout schedules, and exception rules - Act as business administrator for the Xactly Incentive Management Platform, including back-end SQL coding and configuration - Partner with sales, finance, and HR teams to translate incentive strategy into system requirements and plan designs - Coordinate calculation distribution and approval workflows across sales leadership - Build and deliver incentive performance reports and collaborate with finance on accrual forecasting and scenario modeling - Provide ad-hoc analysis on account assignments, payout exceptions, and external data inputs - Drive initiatives to automate, streamline, and enhance incentive-related systems and processes
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business or a related field - 1-3 years of data management or data project experience, ideally within a consumer products environment - Working knowledge of SAP, data warehouse concepts, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint - Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL - Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams
Nice to have - Prior exposure to the Xactly Incentive Management Platform - Familiarity with retail sales compensation or outdoor product categories
