Cloud Developer (m/w/d) – Identity & Access Management

Role overview This is a permanent, full-time cloud developer position focused on Identity & Access Management (IAM), with related work in Privileged Access Management (PAM). The role sits within a cybersecurity-oriented software team and supports environments tied to defence and public-sector contexts. The position is offered as remote with a basis in the Köln or Münster area.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain cloud-based services that handle authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle workflows. - Develop and integrate Privileged Access Management components, including controls for elevated access and session handling. - Implement security hardening measures across cloud infrastructure supporting identity services. - Collaborate with cybersecurity and platform teams to translate access policies into reliable, auditable code. - Contribute to solutions intended for defence and public-sector use cases, ensuring alignment with relevant security and compliance expectations.

Requirements - Proven professional experience as a cloud developer in production environments. - Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts and ideally hands-on exposure to PAM tooling. - Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices. - Comfort working with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code approaches. - Ability to operate full-time in a permanent role; experience level expected is experienced rather than entry-level.

Nice to have - Prior exposure to defence or public-sector IT projects and their regulatory frameworks. - Familiarity with German-language project settings, given the position's German location footprint.
