Senior Software Engineer - SRE

Role overview

Improve the availability, resilience, and operational reliability of cloud services as a senior engineer on an infrastructure team. You’ll build and maintain cloud and container infrastructure, strengthen delivery and incident practices, and partner with engineering teams to support dependable systems at scale.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement improvements to service availability and resilience. - Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and containerized environments using Terraform and Kubernetes. - Develop automated CI/CD pipelines for application delivery and infrastructure changes. - Define and use service level indicators and objectives to detect, isolate, and reduce failures. - Participate in incident response and retrospectives, then drive improvements to reliability and user experience. - Guide system design, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and the operation of critical third-party services.

Requirements

- Five or more years building distributed systems on a public cloud such as AWS or GCP. - Practical experience with DevOps, infrastructure as code, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. - Foundation in software application design and system internals. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to collaborate on complex technical problems through design reviews, peer reviews, and mentoring.

Nice to have

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) credential.
