About this role

Role overview Own the product roadmap for reusable AI capabilities that power products combining automated analysis with human review. The role connects research to production: defining what models should deliver, establishing readiness and field-performance standards, and helping product teams use shared capabilities effectively. It balances near-term releases with longer-term research bets. Applicants must be located in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities - Set a capability roadmap across edge and cloud, prioritizing work that can serve multiple product teams. - Define model outputs and expectations for confidence, latency, and accuracy. - Establish evaluation and release gates spanning research, shadow deployment, production readiness, rollback, and monitoring of precision, recall, and drift. - Work with clinical reviewers on feedback loops that improve model quality while reducing review effort per event. - Set learning milestones and data priorities for longer research bets, then make clear decisions about whether to continue or stop them. - Assess emerging AI approaches, including multimodal and on-device models, for practical use in care settings; coordinate with hardware teams on what models can extract from new sensing modalities.

Requirements - Strong product experience with AI or machine learning capabilities, including areas such as computer vision, multimodal models, or evaluation. - Ability to work credibly with researchers and machine learning engineers; engineering experience followed by a move into product is also relevant. - Understanding of newer AI approaches and sound judgment about where they apply in care settings. - Experience deploying models with real-world constraints such as limited on-device computing capacity and latency-versus-accuracy tradeoffs. - Evidence-driven approach to evaluation and shadow deployments, balancing research with commercial commitments.

Nice to have Experience with human-in-the-loop systems, non-optical sensing, or safety-critical AI in healthcare.

Benefits and work setup Fully remote for candidates in the United States or Canada. Listed salary is $220,000–$240,000 USD or $200,000–$220,000 CAD, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage with employee premiums paid, a 401(k), monthly education, well-being, and home-office stipends, non-accrual paid time off, family and parental leave, and company retreats.
