About this role
Role overview This role leads growth and product for a profitable, long-standing e-commerce shipping management SaaS used by thousands of merchants. The product delivers real-time, rules-based shipping rates and accurate delivery estimates at checkout across parcel and LTL freight with major carriers, and integrates with multiple e-commerce platforms. The incoming leader will take over from the founder, owning both the commercial engine and the product roadmap to drive a new chapter of expansion.
Responsibilities - Drive revenue growth through base expansion, pricing and packaging, competitive win-back, and net-new acquisition, measured on revenue outcomes rather than activity - Own the product roadmap, prioritization, and direction, including the rationale behind each decision, while partnering with a senior full-stack developer - Lead merchant-facing work: run demos, back up support on escalations, and turn conversations into roadmap insight, reviews, and pipeline - Scope, qualify, and price custom development work, then ensure it gets built and billed - Build the first structured outbound motion the product has had, including follow-up on inbound demo interest, competitive switching conversations, and targeted outreach to high-volume merchants - Improve the operating layer through documentation, help-centre content, CRM discipline, and lightweight processes, applying AI tools across support, product specs, research, and analysis
Requirements - Proven track record of personally generating revenue in small B2B SaaS, with concrete examples of motions or accounts grown and the numbers behind them - Background in growth, product, or founder/operator roles within B2B SaaS or e-commerce, ideally in early-stage or small-team environments - Comfort engaging high-volume merchants by phone and a strong customer-facing disposition - Technical fluency: able to scope features with developers, read API docs, and reason about integration and shipping-rate calculation trade-offs without writing code - Commercial literacy in pricing experiments, conversion metrics, and revenue outcomes, paired with a self-directed approach to building structure where none existed - Hands-on experience with at least one major e-commerce platform such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or Magento, plus practical AI literacy and active use of AI tools
Nice to have - Experience in shipping, logistics, or carrier integrations - Background directing remote or contractor teams
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote with flexible hours, requiring meaningful overlap with US business hours - High-trust culture with significant autonomy and minimal bureaucracy - Small, collaborative, friendly team environment - Flexible time off to recharge - Access to a broader community of entrepreneurial SaaS professionals for knowledge and idea exchange - Equal opportunity employer with a commitment to diversity and inclusion - Location-adjusted compensation targeting local market medians, shared in writing before the first interview
