Technical Product Manager - AI Neobank

Role overview The Technical Product Manager will own a product vertical end-to-end within a financial superapp spanning payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading across Southeast Asia. These are high-consequence products that handle real money, so reliability, regulatory compliance, and third-party financial integrations are foundational rather than afterthoughts. The team operates as AI-native by default, applying AI where it genuinely improves outcomes while keeping deterministic systems in control where trust and auditability are required.

Responsibilities - Own strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery for a complete product vertical from concept through launch. - Partner with engineering on technical design covering APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability. - Balance trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience. - Embed regulatory requirements into the product, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing. - Apply AI where it improves outcomes, with evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling. - Coordinate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance to align on decisions and launch readiness.

Requirements - At least five years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production. - Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems. - Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineers and contribute to technical design discussions. - Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence domain. - Sound product judgment and ability to navigate difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints. - Hands-on experience building LLM or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI is unsuitable.

Nice to have - Engineering or other highly technical background. - Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products. - Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products.
