Client Program Manager

Role overview

A Client Program Manager role embedded in a gas utility business unit, partnering with senior utility leaders to deliver measurable value from advanced leak detection and methane emissions technology. The position blends technical understanding with program leadership, guiding enterprise clients through pilots, production rollouts, integrations, and executive business reviews. It is remote within the US with a preference for Eastern or Central time zones, and includes periodic travel under 25 percent for customer meetings.

Responsibilities

- Own client programs end-to-end, from initial planning through pilots, production rollouts, integrations, and executive reviews - Align analytics and technology with each utility's strategy, regulatory obligations, and operational priorities - Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for assigned accounts, engaging director- and executive-level stakeholders to set goals and review outcomes - Analyze operational and field data to quantify results, surface risks or opportunities, and shape recommendations - Channel customer needs into internal product and continuous improvement efforts - Support business development and proposals by defining customer goals, success metrics, and implementation plans - Provide subject matter expertise on advanced leak detection, methane emissions, and evolving regulatory frameworks

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in utility operations, methane-related R&D, or client-facing technical programs - Working knowledge of pipeline safety, emissions management, and relevant regulatory frameworks - Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate technical detail into business impact - Background in customer success, implementation, or consulting roles supporting enterprise programs - Proficiency with data analysis and GIS tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, or QGIS - Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field - Willingness to travel periodically, typically less than 25 percent
