Role overview A senior engineer is needed to design, build, and operate large-scale software systems that help millions of people navigate healthcare more easily. The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, partnering closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable applications on a modern cloud stack.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of sophisticated applications aligned with business goals. - Translate requirements from product managers and designers into robust technical designs and scalable implementations. - Write high-quality, maintainable code following established standards and best practices. - Debug and resolve complex defects and performance bottlenecks to protect reliability and user experience. - Mentor and review work from junior and mid-level engineers, raising the team's overall technical bar. - Stay current on emerging frameworks, tools, and industry trends, and improve internal development processes.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience. - 5-8 years of professional software development experience focused on large-scale applications. - High proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Go, PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or C++. - Solid grounding in software development methodologies, testing practices, and code review. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills. - Hands-on experience using AI tools for code generation.
Nice to have - Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements. - Full-stack experience across Go, PHP, Node.js with TypeScript, GraphQL, REST APIs, and NoSQL data stores. - Deep knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code practices.
