QA Tester: Mobile Apps

Role overview Help catch issues in mobile apps before updates reach the people who rely on them. You’ll try new builds on your own phone, follow and expand test steps, and check how the apps behave across devices and network conditions.

Responsibilities - Test new app builds on an Android phone or iPhone using existing scripts and your own exploratory checks. - Record bugs with clear steps to reproduce, what happened, and what you expected to happen. - Attach screenshots or short videos to make issues easier to understand. - Retest fixes and check that they work on different phones and connections. - Check app behavior when the connection is weak or unavailable.

Requirements - Access to an Android phone or iPhone for testing. - Patience and attention to detail when following and extending test steps. - Clear written English for documenting findings. - Availability to contribute a few hours each week on a consistent basis.

Nice to have - Previous experience testing software; experience is not required.
