About this role
Role overview
Lead product strategy for a two-sided veterinary staffing marketplace, focusing on helping veterinary professionals move from joining the platform to completing shifts and building lasting hospital relationships. You’ll own high-priority initiatives, set measurable goals, and work across product, growth, analytics, operations, and other teams to improve marketplace outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Improve the journey from registration and credential checks through approval, shift discovery, requests, and completed work; determine where automation or human review is appropriate. - Build tools and workflows for professionals who work frequent relief shifts, including repeat bookings, multi-shift scheduling, calendars, and earnings. - Turn promotions and incentives into targeted, measurable product capabilities with suitable controls. - Partner with growth and analytics colleagues on shared conversion goals, experiments, cohort definitions, attribution, and holdouts. - Co-develop business unit strategy, assess whether initiatives are working, and coordinate with other product teams to maintain a consistent hospital and professional experience. - Communicate product direction, progress, and findings to leaders and teams across the organization.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in marketplace, commerce, or consumer platform product work, with meaningful supply, demand, or funnel ownership. - Experience improving multiple parts of a customer journey, such as acquisition, onboarding, search, activation, or retention. - Working knowledge of marketplace economics, including pricing, take rate, contribution margin, and payback. - A record of measurable user and business results across teams or initiatives. - Strong written and verbal communication, systems thinking, and ability to align people across functions without relying on formal authority. - Ability to design experiments and scalable solutions, and to use AI tools while taking responsibility for the work they produce.
