About this role
Role overview Set product strategy and lead high-priority initiatives for a two-sided marketplace connecting veterinary professionals with animal hospitals. The role spans the full user journey and business model, from professional onboarding and first booking through repeat work, while aligning teams around measurable outcomes. The position is remote, with occasional travel to a U.S. team workspace for meetings and events.
Responsibilities - Improve the path from sign-up to first shift, including identity and license checks, approval decisions, onboarding, browsing, and booking; determine where automation is appropriate. - Build tools and workflows for professionals who book frequently, such as recurring shifts, multi-shift bookings, calendars, and earnings views. - Turn promotions into product capabilities with targeting, automation, and controls for spending. - Partner with growth marketing on shared conversion goals and experiments, and work with analysts on cohorts, attribution, and holdout methods. - Co-own business-unit strategy with its general manager, assess whether initiatives are working, and make decisions about priorities. - Coordinate with product peers so hospitals and professionals experience one coherent marketplace; communicate strategy and results across teams.
Requirements - 5+ years working on marketplace supply, demand, or core marketplace products; equivalent commerce or consumer-platform experience may fit. - Experience owning product surfaces across several funnel stages, such as acquisition, onboarding, activation, search, or retention. - Fluency in marketplace economics, including pricing, take rate, contribution margin, and payback. - A record of delivering measurable results for customers and the business across teams or initiatives. - Strong written and verbal communication, systems thinking, and ability to align teams without formal authority. - Practical fluency with AI tools, with accountability for evaluating their output.
Benefits and work setup Remote role with occasional travel for team gatherings. Full-time employees in the U.S. or Canada may receive home-office, education, and wellness stipends, health coverage, retirement savings options, paid time off, and parental or reproductive care leave; details vary by country.
