About this role
Role overview A clinical AI company is hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of a mobile application used by stroke, trauma, and vascular teams in acute care settings, alongside a suite of desktop applications that clinicians use to track and monitor patients. The role turns complex clinical workflows, deep data, and AI model outputs into intuitive, reliable experiences for time-critical care. It is a hands-on, strategic position suited to designers energized by high-stakes, ambiguous problem spaces.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end design across mobile (iOS, iPadOS, Android), web, and native desktop applications. - Transform complex clinical data and AI model outputs into high-stakes interfaces that remain reliable under pressure. - Build user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, leveraging AI tools and advanced prototyping methods. - Maintain and expand the design system and Figma component libraries for cross-platform consistency. - Plan user research including interviews, contextual observation, and usability testing with healthcare professionals, with up to 20% travel to clinical sites. - Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Clinical AI/ML teams from strategy through deployment, communicating design rationale to technical, clinical, and executive audiences.
Requirements - Six or more years of product or UX design experience shipping end-to-end products across web, mobile, and native desktop, plus a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - A portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking, clear process, and solutions for complex, high-stakes user problems, ideally in healthcare or complex enterprise contexts. - Proven ability to plan, run, and synthesize user research directly with technical or clinical domain experts. - Deep expertise in Figma and active contribution to shared component libraries. - Comfort working close to engineering, awareness of platform constraints, and experience using AI tools to accelerate design exploration. - Self-directed operator who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple concurrent projects across global time zones.
Nice to have - Healthcare or clinical workflow design experience. - Background contributing to or scaling enterprise design systems.
Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $170,000 to $185,000, with additional eligibility for equity awards and short-term incentives. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
