Product Engineer

Role overview Build and shape a new software platform, owning product work from database design and backend services through to customer-facing interfaces. You’ll make early architecture and engineering decisions, establish development practices, and deliver features into production.

Responsibilities - Develop features across data models, backend services, background jobs, and user interfaces. - Design database schemas and manage migrations, data integrity, and query performance. - Create responsive interfaces with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework. - Set testing, code quality, and continuous integration practices for a new codebase. - Use AI coding agents in daily development, reviewing and verifying their output. - Contribute to technical design discussions and review colleagues’ work.

Requirements - At least five years of professional software engineering experience. - Strong backend skills in Go, or a comparable statically typed language and readiness to work in Go. - Relational database experience, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization. - Proficiency with TypeScript and a framework such as React or Next.js. - Experience making early architecture and data model decisions for systems built from the ground up. - Regular experience with AI coding agents and a clear method for checking their work. - Able to set priorities, manage scope, and work independently.
