Role overview
A senior engineering role embedded inside an internal platform team that builds and operates the software powering corporate functions such as People, Legal, and Finance. The team works shoulder-to-shoulder with non-technical stakeholders to surface real problems, then delivers full applications, third-party integrations, and automation while owning the data products those functions rely on. It is an end-to-end product engineering position with broad visibility across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and operate full-stack products used daily by corporate teams - Embed with non-technical stakeholders to understand workflows and scope solutions together - Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrations with third-party SaaS platforms - Create and evolve the data products that corporate functions depend on for decisions and reporting - Establish monitoring, observability, and performance practices for the services under your care - Contribute to code reviews, design documentation, and deployment automation
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or Python - Comfort owning a product from backend services through user-facing components - Strong grasp of database design and evolution - Experience creating RESTful APIs and integrating SaaS or internal systems - Background designing and evolving software architecture from the ground up - Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and performance tooling - Solid engineering fundamentals including version control, testing, deployment automation, code reviews, and design documentation - Confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders to understand and ship solutions - Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English, since code, documentation, and cross-border collaboration are conducted in English
Nice to have
- Experience shipping integrations across SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, HRIS, or ticketing tools - Background embedding with non-engineering teams (People, Legal, Finance) to discover and deliver solutions - Mentorship experience for software engineers - Hands-on with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure - Knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines - Familiarity with containers and orchestration, for example Kubernetes - A mindset that services are continuously evolved rather than finished
