Engineering Manager

Role overview Lead one of the core engineering teams powering a B2B digital closing platform used across the real estate ecosystem, where lenders, title and escrow agents, real estate agents, and consumers converge on a shared transaction experience. The environment ships new software weekly, pairs engineers directly with design and customer-facing teams, and demands an entrepreneurial manager who can balance hands-on technical leadership with people development. This is a high-impact role overseeing complex, high-liability systems central to ongoing company growth.

Responsibilities - Direct and develop a core engineering team responsible for production systems that handle millions of real estate transactions - Drive key architectural decisions, perform the supporting research, and own the outcomes including troubleshooting when incidents arise - Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing counterparts to scope and ship customer-facing features on a weekly release cadence - Mentor engineers through code review, technical guidance, and career support in a culture where engineers have real product input - Manage project planning, prioritization, and communication across stakeholders to keep complex initiatives on track - Foster a collaborative team environment that supports both independent ownership and shared problem solving

Requirements - 3-5 years of experience as a full-stack engineer building customer-facing products - 2+ years leading an engineering team whose work had significant business impact - Strong hands-on technical leadership paired with people management, project management, and clear communication skills - Keen product sense and attention to detail with a passion for the real-world impact of the software built - Comfort leading complex, high-liability projects and making consequential architectural calls - Proficiency working in JavaScript/NodeJS environments with MongoDB and microservice architectures running on Kubernetes and AWS
