Remote job
Senior Solutions Architect, MSP
Job details
About this role
Role overview A global data platform vendor is launching a brand-new go-to-market practice aimed at Managed Service Providers and is hiring a senior pre-sales architect to help build it from scratch. The role blends technical discovery, solution design, and commercial modeling, then carries those motions into live partner engagements. Expect to operate without a finished playbook, defining the proposition as you prove it out deal by deal.
Responsibilities - Own technical leadership of MSP-sourced opportunities end-to-end, covering discovery, architecture, sizing, competitive positioning, proofs of concept, and technical close. - Design end-to-end service architectures spanning multi-tenancy, automation, provisioning, operational models, and integration into the partner's existing stack. - Shape commercial constructs alongside sales, including unit economics, cost-per-tenant modeling, and storage-as-a-service consumption frameworks. - Displace incumbent competitors in MSP environments by positioning a full data platform spanning block, file, object, Kubernetes-native storage, and a data intelligence layer. - Build technical credibility with MSP architects, practice leads, and CTOs, cultivating a bench of partner-side champions. - Capture recurring MSP requirements from live engagements and feed reusable IP—reference architectures, sizing guides, and service blueprints—back into the global program and product management.
Requirements - 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical leadership with a track record of winning partner-led business. - Hands-on experience working with MSPs, including how they price, build, operate, and sell managed services. - Depth across modern data platform architecture: block, file, and object storage, hybrid and cloud data services, Kubernetes, and consumption-based delivery models. - Commercial fluency—comfortable discussing TCO, margin, and consumption economics with finance and practice leadership. - Strong written, diagrammatic, and verbal communication skills with the executive presence to move between a CTO whiteboard and a deal review. - An entrepreneurial, builder mindset suited to constructing a practice rather than inheriting one.
Benefits and work setup - Primarily in-office role based in London, with flexibility for PTO, work travel, or approved leave. - Wellness resources, flexible time off, and company-sponsored team events to support work-life balance. - Inclusive hiring practices with accommodations available throughout the recruitment process.
