Forward Deployed Engineer (Immuware) - Remote, US
Job details
About this role
Role overview
This is a post-sales Forward Deployed Engineer position embedded directly inside the customer experience for a healthcare workforce compliance platform. The mission is to act as the hands-on technical partner who translates messy, regulation-driven needs into working configurations inside the Immuware platform. Success is measured by customer outcomes and the durability of the solutions shipped, not by activity metrics or ticket volume.
Responsibilities
- Lead recurring (typically weekly) technical working sessions with healthcare customers to address evolving needs triggered by regulatory updates, organizational changes, and workflow shifts. - Configure, script, and code solutions across workflow setup, rule-building, field configuration, user and role management, reporting, data corrections, integrations, and small platform changes. - Translate complex Employee Health requirements, including OSHA compliance, state immunization mandates, and credentialing workflows, into practical configurations inside the platform. - Challenge incoming requests when a simpler approach better serves the underlying goal, then document solution designs clearly in internal knowledge and issue-tracking tools. - Convert one-off fixes into reusable templates, decision trees, or product improvements so future customers benefit from the same work. - Triage new modules, record types, or scope expansions that require formal Letters of Work or commercial change, handing them to Customer Success and Professional Services.
Requirements
- Background in healthcare IT, Employee Health, or occupational health, with familiarity navigating regulated, requirement-heavy environments. - Working knowledge of immunization tracking, credentialing workflows, or OSHA and state health reporting requirements. - Comfort with APIs and integrations, plus SQL or scripting ability for data investigation and fixes. - Prior experience with Immuware or comparable compliance platforms, with the judgment to write well-scoped bug reports and feature requests engineering can act on. - Strong written and verbal communication, credible with both customer executives and internal product or engineering teams, and able to lead working sessions with non-technical stakeholders. - Structured problem-solving skills, including scoping enterprise issues, finding root causes live, and adapting without a fixed playbook.
Nice to have
- Experience generalizing patterns across multiple customer environments and turning them into platform improvements. - Comfort driving resolution independently rather than escalating, including handling delays, bugs, and scope pushback while preserving customer trust.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first organization with optional office space for those nearby. - Paid time off plus 16 hours of volunteer time off annually. - Company-covered life insurance with optional beneficiary add-ons at a discounted rate. - Fertility and hormonal health benefits with funds toward eligible care. - Professional development allowance directed by the employee. - Milestone travel recognition for long-tenured employees. - Standard full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
