About this role

Role overview Plan and lead clinical study projects, coordinating teams and service providers so studies meet agreed quality, scope, budget, and schedule goals. The senior project manager is the primary client contact, oversees financial and operational performance, and manages issues through to resolution across global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities - Serve as the main client contact and escalation point; lead internal and client meetings and communicate study risks, deviations, and corrective actions. - Coordinate functional teams and external vendors against integrated timelines, budgets, and project plans. - Manage scope, budgets, profitability, billable hours, forecasting, and timely, accurate billing; identify out-of-scope work and drive change orders to completion. - Track progress using meaningful metrics and report status, key performance indicators, risks, and proposed solutions to clients and leadership. - Oversee project quality, inspection readiness for trial documentation, and follow-up on quality issues and corrective actions. - Ensure study-specific training is completed and maintained; support presentations and business development activities when needed.

Requirements - Degree or equivalent education and experience in a science or health-related field; an advanced degree is preferred. - At least seven years of clinical research experience, including at least four years of direct project management experience, or demonstrated equivalent competencies. - Experience managing complex, global clinical trials and coordinating cross-functional teams. - Working knowledge of good clinical practice and experience applying project planning, risk management, and change management. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and clinical study systems such as eTMF, EDC, and CTMS. - Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills; able to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.

Benefits and work setup The role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and benefits including health coverage, retirement savings, life and disability insurance, parental leave, and paid sick and vacation time. The listed salary estimate is $147,300–$220,900 USD; actual compensation may depend on skills, experience, training, and work location. Candidates must be authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
