Role overview
Lead the planning and delivery of website design and development work across a varied client portfolio. This role combines project coordination, client communication, resource planning, quality assurance, and day-to-day problem solving to keep web initiatives aligned with business goals, timelines, and quality standards. The work spans both project-based engagements and ongoing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, gathering requirements, sharing progress, handling feedback, and setting clear expectations. - Plan, monitor, and coordinate web projects from intake through delivery, working closely with design, development, account, and other specialist teams. - Assess incoming requests, assign work according to team capacity and expertise, clarify priorities, and keep contributors aligned on scope and deadlines. - Review deliverables before client release, identify quality issues, coordinate revisions, and help reduce post-launch defects and rework. - Maintain accurate project records, including owners, estimates, acceptance criteria, assets, due dates, status, and escalation details. - Proactively resolve blockers, support client retention, and step into account-management responsibilities when additional coverage is needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Two to four years of agency experience, including one to three years managing website design or development projects. - Familiarity with current web design and user-experience practices, plus working knowledge of WordPress and Shopify. - Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, PHP, or Java. - Strong organization, time management, communication, creativity, and attention to detail. - Experience coordinating teams of ten or more and managing multiple clients or workstreams simultaneously.
