About this role
Role overview Lead the delivery and long-term operation of a high-resolution Earth-imaging satellite constellation serving strategic customers across the Middle East and North Africa. This senior program role owns end-to-end success for multi-hundred-million-dollar build, launch, and operations contracts, coordinating engineering, mission, and software teams across multiple geographies. The position blends strategic customer engagement with hands-on stewardship of on-orbit assets and roadmap alignment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Directly Responsible Individual for overall program success, ensuring delivered capabilities meet customer requirements and the underlying business model - Serve as the regional bridge for contract execution, integrating local cultural nuances and customer needs into the broader constellation execution strategy - Hire, mentor, and lead a cross-functional program team, establishing plans and structures that maximize the chance of mission success - Maintain close alignment between assigned programs and the commercial, technical, and product roadmap for imaging offerings - Represent the program internally to senior leadership and the wider organization so resources, priorities, and timelines remain balanced - Shepherd the operational health and productivity of satellites on orbit throughout the full life of each contract
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in space systems development, management, and/or operations, with aerospace and technology program experience of comparable scale - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Full fluency in Arabic and professional working proficiency in English - Deep expertise in low-Earth-orbit satellite operations, satellite design, and the elements required to deliver mission success - Familiarity with remote sensing technology and tasking-based business models - Demonstrated ability to operate decisively with minimal guidance and extended autonomy - Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building alignment across distributed teams - Willingness to hold ambiguity and risk, and to make decisions that bring clarity to executing teams - Ability to travel within the Middle East as needed and to California and Germany two to three times per year - Availability across Pacific and European time zones for scheduled meetings, paired with strong asynchronous coordination skills
