Healthcare Solutions Architect

Role overview A senior, client-facing Solutions Architect role focused on U.S. healthcare providers and health insurers. The position requires deep familiarity with how hospitals and payers operate and translates clinical, operational, payer, and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, HIPAA-compliant production systems.

Responsibilities - Own end-to-end solution architecture from discovery and requirements gathering through implementation and production delivery. - Design scalable, secure, highly available, HIPAA-compliant architectures for hospitals, health insurers, and other complex U.S. healthcare organizations. - Translate clinical, payer, claims, member, and operational healthcare workflows into effective technical solutions. - Serve as a senior technical partner to clients, communicating confidently with executives, product leaders, engineering, clinical stakeholders, and operational teams. - Lead architectural decisions on healthcare data, system integration, interoperability, APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures. - Design and oversee integrations with EHR/EMR platforms using HL7, FHIR, and related healthcare interoperability standards.

Requirements - 10+ years of software development experience with at least 3+ years in a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead role. - Substantial hands-on experience architecting solutions for U.S. hospitals and/or health insurance companies; general healthcare tech experience alone is insufficient. - Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare workflows, data environments, integrations, security, and regulatory obligations including HIPAA. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to extract real problems from conversations. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, plus a high degree of initiative and ownership.
