Senior Engineer, Cloud Operations (Contract Position)

Role overview A contract role for a senior cloud engineer to design, build, and operate the multi-cloud infrastructure that powers a large-scale identity and trust platform. The work spans AWS and GCP environments, with a strong emphasis on automation, observability, reliability, and cost efficiency across SaaS services used by enterprise customers.

Responsibilities - Design, document, build, operate, and optimize highly available, large-scale, multi-cloud infrastructure and services. - Own and evolve key components of a SaaS platform running on AWS and GCP, including observability and logging pipelines. - Analyze performance, usability, and stability issues, and propose long-term, automated solutions. - Identify manual workflows, bottlenecks, and suboptimal processes, and turn them into reliable, measurable systems. - Mature engineering practices from ad-hoc into well-documented, repeatable processes. - Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements - 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar cloud-focused engineering roles. - Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, automated cloud systems across multiple regions and zones in AWS and GCP. - Hands-on experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and service mesh technologies. - Strong background in observability systems for monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, and centralized logging at scale. - On-call experience including troubleshooting, incident response, and system administration.

Nice to have - Telephony infrastructure experience.
