Azure Web Services Cloud Administrator - Mid

Role overview A mid-level cloud administration role embedded in a federal architecture and infrastructure program, supporting day-to-day operations of cloud-based systems while driving automation and reliability improvements. The position combines system administration, incident response, and engineering judgment, with opportunities to propose and implement technical solutions that improve scalability and efficiency.

Responsibilities - Maintain smooth operation of cloud-based systems, coordinating with network administrators and responding to large-scale events involving VMs, storage, and other virtual resources - Set up administrator and service accounts, keep system documentation current, tune performance, allocate mass storage, and install system-wide software - Resolve critical software and system failures, performing root-cause analysis and enforcing quality assurance on infrastructure changes - Propose, drive, and implement technical solutions for automation, efficiency, and scalability, and develop tools, reports, and processes to monitor cloud health - Lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and provide strategic input on infrastructure direction and vendor management

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience - 4+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud or infrastructure environments - IAT-2 certification plus one or more cloud certifications - Active Secret clearance or higher - Experience working in regulated environments following secure engineering and documentation practices

Nice to have - Prior experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs and mission systems
