Role overview
Build and evolve full-stack products that help customers access and use standardized data, while improving the internal tools that support customer success and business operations. You’ll work across APIs, data systems, and user-facing applications, shaping technical designs and delivering reliable features with a high degree of ownership. The role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across product, design, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop self-service product capabilities and tools used by customer-facing teams. - Translate business needs into extensible backend and frontend systems, clarifying open questions with stakeholders. - Design and maintain APIs and application components using sound patterns that can evolve with the business. - Protect the accuracy and integrity of data captured about key business activities. - Improve the reliability and quality of user-facing applications and the systems behind them. - Scope and estimate projects, communicate progress and blockers, document technical designs, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Five or more years of software engineering experience, including examples of technical problem-solving and delivery. - Strong engineering fundamentals and experience evolving existing systems and implementation patterns. - At least four years of production Python experience, with backend framework experience such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask. - Strong REST API design skills, including resource modeling, versioning, pagination, error handling, and access control. - Deep SQL experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar, including schema design, migrations, and query tuning. - Experience with React and TypeScript, plus a React framework such as Next.js; familiarity with CSS and Tailwind is also expected. - Experience with testing, cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and operating production services; strong written communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to have
- Search or analytics stores such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, or large-scale data processing. - Vercel, Figma, or work with an established UI component library.
