Role overview Build and improve customer-facing experiences across web and mobile products, contributing to projects that connect multiple product areas. The role spans frontend work and API development, with engineers partnering across disciplines to deliver features in stages and maintain reliable services.
Responsibilities - Break larger projects into manageable tasks and deliver work in phases with support from technical leads and managers. - Collaborate with product, design, and analytics partners during planning, weighing technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs. - Develop and ship product experiences across web and mobile surfaces. - Help operate team-owned services and applications by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call support. - Review code, share feedback, and contribute to team development, including interviews.
Requirements - At least 1.5 years of software engineering experience. - Experience shipping web applications with a declarative UI framework such as React or Vue. - Experience building mobile applications with native or cross-platform tools such as React Native. - Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale, using languages such as Kotlin or Python. - Ability to turn a business problem into clear, tested, maintainable software that works across multiple components. - Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging other people’s code, and communicating effectively with a distributed engineering team. - A related bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Benefits and work setup Remote-first role open to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan. The stated Canadian base salary range is CAD $153,000–$213,000 per year. Compensation may include equity and benefits such as health coverage, monthly technology and wellness stipends, flexible time off, and an employee stock purchase plan.
