Senior Software Engineer, iCasino

Role overview Build and operate backend systems that power online casino experiences, including game discovery and launch, third-party provider integrations, and real-money wagering flows. The role takes ownership of complex production challenges, from API and database performance to reliability, monitoring, and technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities - Design and tune GraphQL APIs, low-latency gRPC services, and SQL queries for casino lobby, game launch, and wagering experiences. - Lead technical proposals and explain design decisions to leadership and partner teams. - Deliver features and game-provider integrations from design through implementation in an agile team. - Identify production bottlenecks and risks, and improve platform scalability and performance. - Maintain monitoring and alerting for owned systems and investigate performance regressions. - Mentor engineers through technical specifications, pairing, and code review; own service releases and on-call work.

Requirements - At least 5 years of software engineering experience. - At least 2 years designing and evolving GraphQL schemas; Elixir application experience is preferred. - Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software design. - Experience operating production systems at scale, using load testing and tracing to find improvements and diagnose CPU or latency issues. - Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, Kubernetes, and containerized services. - Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce clear technical designs and runbooks; familiarity with testing frameworks, background jobs, and asynchronous messaging is also relevant.

Nice to have Experience in online casino, sports betting, or another regulated real-money field; game-provider or wallet integrations; hexagonal architecture or domain-driven development; open-source contributions; or startup experience.
