Backend Engineer

Role overview Design and operate the backend services that support consumer apps, device firmware updates, and AI capabilities. The role centers on dependable APIs and data services, with attention to security, observability, and coordination across product engineering teams.

Responsibilities - Design and implement REST or GraphQL APIs for mobile, web, and device clients. - Build data pipelines for analytics, user feedback, and product telemetry. - Improve system observability, deployment practices, and incident response. - Partner with AI and embedded engineering teams to deliver features across platforms. - Contribute to technical RFCs and help mentor junior engineers.

Requirements - At least four years building and operating backend services in production. - Strong experience with Node.js, Go, or Python service development. - Solid understanding of databases, caching, and distributed systems. - Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP. - Security-conscious approach to authentication and handling user data.
