Role overview This role drives research that informs product direction, curriculum design, and go-to-market decisions for a workforce development platform serving frontline employees and managers. Sitting within the Product & Design function, the researcher partners across product, design, learning experience, and GTM teams to keep every decision grounded in real user behavior.
Responsibilities - Plan, run, and synthesize a range of research studies, from landscape scans to usability tests, informing both product and curriculum decisions - Support early-stage exploration of new product areas and industries, identifying pain points and opportunity areas among users - Conduct pre-release usability testing and post-release monitoring using quantitative data, surveys, interviews, and session replays - Gather curriculum input from subject matter experts and translate research findings into curriculum priorities - Build and maintain a pipeline of subject matter expert advisors, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and compensation logistics - Organize research repositories and operations so findings remain accessible, and identify where automation can improve efficiency without losing quality
Requirements - 3+ years of experience in research, data, or insights roles such as consulting, venture or impact investing, or user research - Comfort working from limited information and fluency with both qualitative and quantitative methods - Experience operating in a startup or small team environment, owning loosely defined projects end to end - Ability to synthesize research into actionable insights and communicate them effectively to decision-makers - Familiarity with research operations, including repositories, survey platforms, recruitment networks, and transcription or tagging tools
Nice to have - Existing knowledge of, or experience researching, the financial services industry or frontline workers - Hands-on experience using current AI tools relevant to product research and design
