About this role
Role overview A senior UX Designer position supporting an agile scrum team that builds and maintains a suite of web applications for a federal government partner. The designer will translate customer requirements into interface designs, then iterate those designs using feedback from project leads, developers, and other stakeholders across the program.
Responsibilities - Participate in standard agile scrum ceremonies, including planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives. - Facilitate design research meetings and lead discovery activities with end users and project stakeholders. - Produce designs for new features and enhancements to existing web applications, from early concepts through high-fidelity deliverables. - Refine and update designs iteratively based on input from developers, project leaders, and other reviewers. - Develop UX artifacts that document research findings, design rationale, and information architecture. - Conduct user research and usability testing, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative signals into clear recommendations.
Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer supporting a web-based application. - 5+ years using Figma or FigJam to produce user flows, prototypes, wireframes, and mockups. - 5+ years conducting user research, running tests with end users, synthesizing system data, and presenting findings to varied stakeholder audiences. - 5+ years developing UX artifacts that support design research and architecture decisions. - Hands-on experience with the Atlassian suite in support of large-scale scrum or kanban development. - Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability clearance.
