About this role
Role overview
Develop quantum computing applications, with an initial focus on exploring how machine learning methods can be expressed as quantum protocols and run on digital quantum hardware. The work combines research, software development, and collaboration with customers and algorithm specialists to assess which problems may benefit from future quantum capabilities. The position is part of a research and development team and is based in South Korea.
Responsibilities - Track developments in machine learning and apply relevant methods to quantum protocols for applied mathematics problems. - Work with customers to identify meaningful industry use cases and assess credible prospects for quantum advantage. - Collaborate with quantum algorithm developers on algorithms for early fault-tolerant hardware, especially in quantum machine learning. - Prepare research publications and contribute to intellectual property development. - Share results in internal technical discussions, conferences, and outreach activities.
Requirements - PhD in a technical field, particularly computer science, physics, or mathematics, with relevant research experience from academic work or industry internships. - Familiarity with quantum information and foundational quantum algorithms, and experience with a related framework such as Qadence, Qiskit, PennyLane, or Cirq. - Strong software development ability, preferably in Python; equivalent languages are considered. - Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, with a proactive and self-directed approach. - Fluency in English.
Nice to have - Knowledge of scientific machine learning, including physics-informed methods or neural operators. - Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. - Familiarity with quantum machine learning, fault-tolerant protocols, resource estimation, or quantum error correction.
