Director, Business Systems & AI Enablement (Remote EST – United States)

Role overview Lead the systems and process work that helps a distributed business operate more efficiently, while introducing practical uses of enterprise AI. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will guide a small team, own key business platforms and integrations, and build or configure solutions yourself. The position is remote in the United States, with an Eastern Time focus, and carries visible responsibility for measurable operational improvements.

Responsibilities - Set the roadmap and oversee configuration, health, and vendor relationships for Salesforce, Asana, and connected business systems. - Improve workflows and data quality across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations; translate stakeholder needs into requirements and solution designs. - Manage request intake, prioritization, and delivery backlogs, including user stories and sprint coordination. - Build and test solutions directly, such as Salesforce automations, work management workflows, and AI agents; lead user acceptance testing. - Roll out enterprise AI tools, support adoption through training and documentation, and track results such as usage and time saved. - Coach a team of two, communicate progress and value to executives, and coordinate with teams shaping AI strategy and evaluation.

Requirements - 7+ years in business systems, process improvement, or enterprise application management, with experience leading or coaching others. - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Strong hands-on Salesforce administration, automation, and data management experience; experience scaling Asana or a similar work management platform. - Working knowledge of integrations, APIs, data models, ETL, and data synchronization across business systems. - Practical experience deploying commercial AI tools, building prompts or agents and workflows, and measuring adoption or impact. - Experience with agile delivery and Jira, plus clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and sound prioritization.

Nice to have Salesforce certifications, experience with Salesforce AI, workflow automation platforms, digital or partner marketing, multi-region user support, or Lean and Six Sigma methods.
