Job details
About this role
Role overview
Work with a small number of major customer teams to bring an AI agent for site reliability engineering into real production environments. The role combines customer-facing deployment and technical leadership with direct product engineering: you will connect the agent to operational tools, guide teams toward safe automation, and turn validated customer needs into reusable product capabilities.
Responsibilities - Deploy and configure the agent with several strategic customer teams, integrating it into incident response workflows and supporting adoption. - Design and build reusable tools, connectors, and agent skills, contributing them through product engineering reviews and evaluations. - Run customer pilots, gather evaluation evidence, identify integration barriers, and implement production-ready fixes. - Connect customer environments across infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, CI/CD, and observability systems; support gradual, guarded adoption of automated actions. - Set technical plans for assigned accounts, advise product and engineering leaders, and bring customer feedback and evaluation findings to the core team.
Requirements - At least eight years building and shipping production software across teams. - Hands-on experience delivering LLM or agent systems to production, including tool use, evaluation pipelines, and safety guardrails. - Ability to lead technical design discussions with customer engineers and explain business value to senior stakeholders. - Comfort working independently through ambiguous problems in unfamiliar environments. - A track record of shipping software that earns adoption and judgment about which customer requests are broadly useful. - Practical experience with Terraform or Pulumi, GitOps, CI/CD design, and progressive delivery approaches such as canary or blue/green releases. - Willingness to travel 25–50% during active customer engagements.
Nice to have
Operational knowledge of incident response, on-call practices, postmortems, service objectives, and alerting.
