About this role
Role overview Own product and protocol security across several financial and blockchain products, helping teams find and address risks while they are designing and building. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on code, testing, and safeguards for deployed systems and digital assets.
Responsibilities - Threat-model products, review designs and production code, and test for vulnerabilities early in development. - Harden product deployments and the validator client release process. - Run recurring internal security audits and track external audit findings through remediation. - Build on-chain monitoring and detections to identify suspicious activity before it becomes an attack. - Manage bug bounty triage, severity assessment, remediation tracking, and escalation. - Develop automated security checks, including testing for risks in AI agents and tools used in codebases; address key and asset controls such as wallet keys and multisignature setups.
Requirements - At least five years of professional experience, including substantial software engineering work before moving into product security. - Production engineering experience and proficiency in a systems or backend language; Rust is preferred, with Go, C++, or Python also relevant. - Practical product or application security experience across threat modeling, design review, code review, and vulnerability testing. - Experience building security tools or automation and contributing to bug bounty operations. - Strong written communication, sound judgment, and ability to work autonomously with high ownership. - Interest in AI security, including adversarial testing of agent controls.
Nice to have - Experience with web3, cryptocurrency, or DeFi; smart contract or on-chain security, especially on Solana or another SVM chain, is useful. - Familiarity with on-chain monitoring tools.
