About this role

Role overview A conservation organisation focused on restoring ecosystems and scaling nature recovery is hiring an IT Coordinator to be its primary internal IT contact. The role combines hands-on IT support with driving AI adoption across a small, remote team. It suits someone who pairs solid technical foundations with a service mindset and genuine curiosity about how AI can change the way a mission-driven organisation works day to day.

Responsibilities - Provide proactive, high-quality IT support across the team, keeping hardware, software, and connectivity secure and fit for purpose - Partner with an external IT provider to maintain infrastructure, security, and compliance - Own onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, access, and devices, so joiners are productive from day one and leavers' access is removed promptly - Keep accurate records, including the asset register, software licences, and access documentation - Coach team members on AI tools and identify practical productivity improvements - Help the team use AI safely, contributing to guidance on acceptable use and data handling - Recommend technology improvements and maintain IT documentation so it stays current and easy to follow

Requirements - Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, including users, licences, and permissions - Practical experience setting up and supporting laptops and mobile devices for remote workers - Solid IT fundamentals across hardware, software, and connectivity, with a willingness to keep learning - Genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and curiosity about practical applications in everyday work - Strong communication skills and the ability to support people with varying levels of technical comfort - A proactive service mindset, taking ownership and following through without prompting

Nice to have - A genuine passion for the natural world and conviction that scaling conservation matters - Comfort working in a small, fast-moving environment where priorities shift

Benefits and work setup - Full-time, permanent position - Remote working with approximately monthly travel to offices and estates for team events and meetings - Salary range of £28,000 to £35,000, with new hires typically starting toward the lower end of the range and progressing based on performance
