About this role
Role overview A Principal Product Manager will lead the reporting and analytics platform for an AI-native system used by independent restaurants. The role spans both historical performance reporting (the "understand" side) and forward-looking, AI-driven recommendations (the "anticipate" side), with end-to-end ownership of the product and deep collaboration with engineering and AI teams.
Responsibilities - Own the full reporting product, including data models, the report builder experience, curated daily reports, drill-down behavior, and the mobile experience, while defining a migration path from the current state. - Partner with the AI team to deliver the predictive side of reporting, surfacing what's coming for each operator based on their business history and suggesting actions that help them hit goals. - Build the analytical data foundation so reporting scales across sales, menu, guests, payouts, labor, and loyalty, allowing both halves of the product to compound over time. - Champion the customer perspective on this product by pulling signal from support tickets, ride-alongs, churn conversations, and the active backlog, and converting it into prioritized next steps. - Collaborate daily with engineering leadership on payments and risk, work with an incoming BI Analyst and Data Scientist, and coordinate cross-functionally with POS, Online Ordering, Loyalty, Labor, Finance, Support, Customer Success, and Sales. - Make reporting a stated reason operators choose and stay with the platform, showing up in customer feedback, sales conversations, and renewals.
Requirements - 8+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping software that made a measurable difference for customers. - Strong product sense and clear opinions about what solutions will succeed, paired with deep customer empathy and skill at uncovering true user needs. - Data fluency, with the ability to blend quantitative and qualitative inputs to inform decisions and update intuition. - Comfort handling ambiguity, defining goals clearly, and operating independently to reach them. - Clear written and verbal communication that drives alignment across teams. - Competence with technical complexity, including the ability to engage engineers on architecture, scope, and tradeoffs.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote, open to candidates anywhere in the US or Canada, with a slight preference for Eastern or Central time zones. - Estimated starting base salary range of $290K-$320K, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package, comprehensive health coverage, unlimited PTO, and additional perks.
