About this role

Role overview

Senior full-stack engineer responsible for building and improving digital learning experiences used by learners, families, educators, and partners. The role spans user-facing development, backend services, data models, architecture, reliability, and performance, with ownership from early problem definition through launch and iteration. Work is carried out within a distributed engineering team using an iterative approach and AI-supported development practices.

Responsibilities

- Develop polished product experiences with React and TypeScript alongside backend services, APIs, and data models. - Own projects end to end, making practical decisions that balance delivery speed, maintainability, quality, and user impact. - Collaborate with product, design, research, analytics, and engineering partners to shape solutions rather than only implement fixed requirements. - Design scalable systems and improve testing, observability, performance, architecture, and operational practices. - Use AI-assisted tools throughout planning, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review. - Help operate the systems you build and contribute to a culture of small experiments and rapid learning.

Requirements

- Senior-level experience delivering software across frontend and backend layers. - Strong experience with modern web application development, including React, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL or comparable API technologies, and relational databases. - Ability to design maintainable services, APIs, data models, and user interfaces. - Sound judgment when balancing technical quality, reliability, delivery timelines, and customer needs. - Effective written and verbal communication in a distributed, cross-functional environment. - Willingness to work from an office in Haeundae, Busan, Tuesday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Mondays are remote.

Nice to have

- Experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, containerized platforms, search systems, monitoring, tracing, or developer platforms. - Interest in applying AI to both software development and learning products.

Benefits and work setup

The role provides work equipment, paid training, flexible vacation, Korean national holidays plus 15 additional days annually, and an annual company retreat with travel and accommodation covered. The source also describes professional-development support, wellness resources, family leave, charitable matching, and other benefits, with eligibility varying by location and employment status.
