(Senior) Program Manager

Role overview A next-generation data intelligence platform is hiring a Senior Program Manager to own the full lifecycle from prioritized opportunity to delivered, scalable customer program. The role sits at the intersection of business development, product, and operational users, translating complex public-sector needs into funded projects and pilots, then driving them through delivery in defense, security, and government environments.

Responsibilities

- Convert prioritized leads and customer needs into concrete, funded project opportunities in partnership with business development and product teams. - Engage directly with public-sector customers and operational users to unpack complex operational problems, user needs, and procurement logic. - Structure and coordinate prototypes, demonstrators, MVPs, and pilot projects with clear test scenarios and decision milestones. - Take end-to-end ownership of program delivery after award, managing scope, schedule, budget, technical implementation, dependencies, and risk. - Build trusted relationships with users, decision-makers, procurement bodies, and external technology or consortium partners. - Capture customer feedback and operational insights systematically, turning them into product decisions and reusable platform capabilities, and establishing governance, reporting, and decision structures that keep contractual obligations on track.

Requirements

- Six or more years of professional experience in program management, project management, innovation management, solution delivery, or technical business development. - Proven track record of turning early leads or customer needs into funded projects and delivering complex, cross-functional customer programs. - Demonstrable experience working with defense, security, government, or comparably regulated public-sector environments. - Hands-on experience structuring pilots or prototypes with technical teams and operational users where requirements are not fully defined upfront. - Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership, structured execution, and the ability to link strategic objectives to operational delivery. - Business-fluent German and English (C1 or above), eligibility to work in Germany, willingness to undergo security clearance, and readiness to travel roughly 30–40% within Germany and Europe.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with Kubernetes, SaaS delivery models, or air-gapped on-premise deployments in sensitive environments. - Experience shaping procurement approaches or consortium setups for public-sector buyers.
