Job details
About this role
Role overview A Core engineering squad is hiring a full-stack engineer to own a secure data intelligence platform's web app, APIs, and admin experiences. The work focuses on shipping end-to-end TypeScript features, hardening identity and access workflows, and ensuring every customer interacts through secure-by-default interfaces. Customers include defense, law-enforcement, and enterprise teams operating in cloud, self-hosted, or air-gapped environments.
Responsibilities - Build and maintain admin consoles, identity flows, notifications, and collaboration features. - Implement secure authentication patterns using Keycloak and OpenFGA, and expose tamper-evident audit views. - Deliver accessible, performant React components with thorough testing and telemetry instrumentation. - Participate in on-call rotations, observability, and incident response for Core services. - Partner closely with Design, Platform, and customer-facing teams to prioritize impactful work.
Requirements - 3–7 years building production-grade TypeScript applications spanning frontend and backend. - Strong experience with React/Next.js, Node.js/tRPC (or comparable frameworks), and modern testing tools. - Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, and secure UI patterns. - Comfort with Kubernetes and GitOps workflows and participating in on-call rotations. - Eligibility to work in Germany; EU/NATO citizenship preferred for export-control reasons.
Nice to have - Real-time collaboration experience (WebSockets, CRDTs), accessibility work, or design-system contributions. - Exposure to Temporal.io, graph/map visualization, or regulated-industry products. - German at B1+ or prior collaboration with defense or law-enforcement customers.
Benefits and work setup - Modern TypeScript stack with meaningful security and observability challenges and high autonomy. - Remote-first within Germany, with a hybrid option at a Berlin office, 30 days of vacation, and an equipment budget. - Mission-driven work contributing to public safety and national-security outcomes.
