Senior Software Engineer II (Full Stack), Analytics & Automation (Remote Canada)

Role overview Join a fast-growing SaaS organization as a senior full-stack engineer focused on analytics and automation within a governance, risk, and compliance intelligence platform. The role involves leading strategic, complex projects, mentoring peers, and shaping application architecture for scalable, customer-facing web products. It is a remote position based in Canada, suited to an engineer who thrives on collaboration yet can independently drive ideas from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and ship product features end-to-end across back-end and front-end layers - Author clear, well-structured design documentation and lead major architecture decisions - Mentor fellow engineers and guide high-quality delivery across multiple contributors - Implement and maintain back-end services and APIs using Python, Django, TypeScript, and Node.js - Develop single-page application interfaces using React, Vue, or Ember - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while writing maintainable, testable code in an Agile lifecycle

Requirements - 8+ years of experience developing web-based applications - Hands-on experience with a server-side web framework such as Django or Rails - Proficiency with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Ember, or Angular) - Experience designing and documenting REST/JSON APIs using OpenAPI or Swagger - Demonstrated ability to write automated software tests and solve technical problems independently - Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have - Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and exposure to Docker or Kubernetes - Cloud platform experience such as AWS and prior SaaS application work - Contributions to open-source projects
