Senior Software Engineer II, Fullstack

Role overview A Senior Software Engineer II, Fullstack role focused on building products that power the post-purchase experience for some of the largest retail brands. The work spans both customer-facing UIs and backend services, with frontend as the primary focus, contributing to features that drive millions of views across consumer, internal, and partner storefronts.

Responsibilities - Implement new product features and support or extend existing ones in the frontend codebase. - Build frontend platform components leveraged across internal and external products and ecommerce storefronts such as Shopify and Salesforce. - Contribute to overall architecture and maintain code quality standards by partnering with other senior engineers. - Work with product and design teams to translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI components. - Contribute to backend services using Golang or Node.js, including RESTful or GraphQL APIs. - Deploy code and infrastructure components using Google Cloud Platform and CI/CD tooling, working with databases such as Postgres, Spanner, and BigQuery.

Requirements - BS or MS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience. - 10+ years building reliable, scalable, high-quality systems. - Experience building consumer-facing applications with a modern frontend framework such as React (preferred), Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember. - Experience building well-designed software with Node.js or Golang. - Experience developing consumer-facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system. - Solid knowledge of the full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals. - Strong focus on code quality, code reviews, and mentoring other engineers.

Nice to have - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Previous startup experience with a growth and product engineering mindset.

Benefits and work setup - Remote role based in Canada. - Estimated annual salary range of $180,000-$220,000 CAD, plus annual bonus, equity, and benefits.
