Role overview A fast-growing cloud-based payroll, HR, and benefits platform serving small and midsize businesses is hiring a Director of Revenue Analytics to own the data, insights, and forecasting that power its go-to-market organization. The role starts as an individual contributor with a path to building and leading a team, partnering across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and Finance to make revenue performance measurable, explainable, and predictable.
Responsibilities
- Own revenue and GTM performance analytics across the full customer lifecycle, including pipeline, conversion, win rates, sales cycle, activity, productivity, retention, and expansion, sliced by segment, channel, product, and team. - Build and evolve the revenue analytics data foundation, including data models, datasets, metric definitions, data quality standards, governance, and trusted sources of truth across GTM systems. - Partner with Data and Engineering to improve the accuracy, accessibility, scalability, and structure of GTM data used for reporting and analytics. - Define the KPIs used to measure revenue performance and build executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks that drive operating decisions. - Build forward-looking models, including forecasting, leading indicators, and scenario analysis, and turn complex findings into clear recommendations on where to focus, invest, and optimize. - Establish measurement frameworks for GTM initiatives, experiments, and process changes to quantify impact and inform what to scale, adjust, or stop. - Evaluate strategic growth opportunities across customer segments, products, channels, verticals, and markets through market sizing, customer fit, and performance analysis. - Own sales commission administration and analysis, including calculations, attainment reporting, payout accuracy, plan performance, and incentive effectiveness. - Identify and apply AI, automation, and agentic workflows across revenue analytics and reporting to scale insight generation.
Requirements
- 7+ years in revenue analytics, GTM analytics, revenue operations, sales operations, business operations, FP&A, or a closely related analytical function. - Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and a BI tool such as Looker, plus hands-on experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce. - Demonstrated ability to build revenue datasets, data models, metric frameworks, and reporting infrastructure across multiple GTM systems. - Deep understanding of GTM performance, funnel dynamics, forecasting, sales productivity, customer economics, and the key drivers of revenue growth. - Track record defining KPIs and building executive dashboards and scorecards used to manage the business. - Capability in predictive analytics, forecasting models, leading indicators, and scenario analysis. - Familiarity with sales commissions and incentive compensation, including administration, payout accuracy, attainment reporting, and plan effectiveness. - Strong business judgment and the ability to translate analysis into operational decisions and investment priorities. - A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to drive work from business question to recommendation independently.
